All Funds Have Been Returned to Members
We are pleased to report that all members who were impacted by the recent debit card fraud event have had their funds returned to them in-full, and any fees incurred have been reconciled. While the forensic investigation will continue for some time, we are assured that no member information was compromised and there was no security hack or breach on the credit union.
As a general rule, we encourage our members to keep an eye on your accounts, and if you noticed anything unusual, please contact us immediately. As your credit union, we provide many tools to assist you in monitoring your accounts — if you need any help using these services, please let us know. We sincerely thank you for your patience during this fraud event! We are also thankful to our staff for their extra hours, effort, and patience during this most unpleasant event, and to the many members who expressed their thanks and appreciation for our swift action and response.
Instructions to turn your debit card on/off:
- Open the MEMBERS1st mobile app and login
- Click on the hamburger menu (3 bars in the lower right corner)
- Click on “Manage My Cards”
- Click on “Temporarily lock this card”
When you want to make a purchase with your debit card, simply complete the steps above to turn your card back on. Then, once your transaction is complete, turn your card back off.
