Temporary Location Opens in Eldora

Wednesday, February 9 – The Eldora temporary location has been changed to 1128 Edgington Ave, Eldora. It is two doors east of the movie theater and one door west of the American Family Insurance building. Services available at this location as of Thursday, Feb. 10, include accepting loan payments, account withdrawals and deposits, reloadable card services, and instant-issue debit card services. More services will be coming soon!

Wednesday, February 2 – Starting Thursday, Feb 3 we will have a temporary office located at 1120 Edgington Ave, Eldora, within the American Family Insurance building.

“We recognize the need of our Eldora area members to access in-person financial services, and we want to thank local business owner Toni Nederhoff in assisting us with an office suite from which to serve our members at this time,” said MEMBERS1st CEO Janet Borer.

The temporary MEMBERS1st location will offer limited services between the hours of 9:15 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm, Monday – Friday. Full services are available at the Iowa Falls branch and many services are available through online banking, or by phone.  Eldora area MEMBERS1st members that have questions about the availability of a needed service are encouraged to call 800-245-6199.

The MEMBERS1st Eldora branch was evacuated late last week following a strong odor of gasoline within the credit union facility. It was later determined that a gasoline fuel leak took place at a neighboring property, and work near the MEMBERS1st Eldora branch location is not yet completed.

“We would like to thank the local fire and police departments and Hardin County Emergency Management for their roles during this situation. We would also like to thank our members for their continued patience during this time,” said Borer.

Friday, January 28 – Our Eldora branch was evacuated the morning of Friday, January 28, due to a strong odor of gasoline.

The credit union employees are safe.

“The safety of our team members and credit union members is of the utmost importance to us,” said MEMBERS1st CEO Janet Borer. “We are working with the local authorities to ensure everyone’s continued safety prior to reopening the Eldora branch location.”

As an alternative to visiting the branch, we offer many services via online banking or by mobile app, or by calling 800-245-6199. Members can also visit our branch locations in Iowa Falls and Marshalltown.

We want to thank our members for your patience! We will follow up with an announcement once we can safely have our Eldora branch open again.
